I used to sell boat supplies and marine equipment, and clients regularly complained about flying with inflatable lifejackets—those little canisters of compressed air triggered TSA agents. I ended up printing out the rule, which was buried in asterisks and footnotes on the TSA website, and offering copies to anyone that might be traveling with their new gear.
