Are shorts for men becoming more acceptable in Greece with the increase in temperatures?
Shorts are pretty common everywhere and have been for quite a while. https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/5ccda534794a956b87e45b0acccf26fcf631c409/0_344_5208_3124/master/5208.jpg?width=700&quality=85&auto=format&fit=max&s=203aab11140ea6ec137d01f0b4c03349
Yes, very much so.
Wearing shorts are fine, always has been. Once the temps push past 85F, everyone is wearing shorts
Where people take issue is if you look like a slob or, a soup sandwich. For American's, dress standards are very relaxed compared to other parts of the world, some people take it too far and they look like they coming out of the gym or, working in the backyard. If you're at a beachside community or, resort, where board shorts and flip-flop sandals are to be expected, no problem. Going out in the evening for dinner or, going to a lounge, ditch the flips, get some closed-toe sandals or, go sockless in some boat shoes or, loafers.
