Can anyone recommend a company to transfer 2 suitcases from Florida to Southampton? We will be travelling around England for a week before taking a cruise out of Southampton and want to deliver the big suitcases (sorry, Rick) to our Southampton hotel. We are not going to London at all.

How long will you be traveling? And what does "around England" mean? You might do better to bring the bags over on the plane and leave them at Heathrow or somewhere in central London.

I have used Send my Bag and haven’t run into problems but it would be a disaster if those suitcases missed the ship for any reason. I agree that you should take them and find a place to store them and circle back to get them. Or hire an English delivery service that will pick them up from you at Heathrow and take them to your South Hampton hotel.

I've also used "Send My Bag" without a problem.
You have to make sure that your Southampton hotel is willing to accept the bags if you are not there.
The best thing would be for you to be at the hotel when it is delivered. When I shipped mine--the opposite way from the UK to the US--it only took around four days.
