Hi all! I wanted to let you all know that there's a sale at Cotopaxi. For those unfamiliar with the brand, they make some great packs for travel, including the Allpa 35L, which meets the carry-on requirements for most airlines (though you'll naturally want to double check your own, to make sure). My family and I used ours when we went to Great Britain a couple years ago. We used public transport and thought the packs worked great. Cotopaxi also has daypacks, slings, etc. Happy shopping!
That’s a good price for the Cotopaxi 35L. I’ve been using mine for three years with multiple 3-4 week trips to Europe each year - an excellent test of the Cotopaxi since I switch hotels about 10x/ trip and ride trains. I absolutely love it! My background is engineering, and I appreciate how well designed and easy this is to use. I was able to eliminate all packing cubes now except one for underwear.
One comment - I purchased the one that is currently on sale. There’s also the Del Dia version of the same pack. The Del Dia uses leftover fabric, so you can identify them by their mult-colors, i.e. the two shoulder straps will be different colors each, etc. The negative of the Del Dia style is that the main large rectangle people see as I am walking does not have the protective coating on it. Mine is the regular style, and I definitely wanted the coating to keep it cleaner, not attract dog hair or scuff up on surfaces.
Thanks for letting us know about the sale.
I really wanted to love the Allpa 35L, but just didn't, so ended up returning it. I do like the looks of the 22L tote, but wonder if the backpack straps would also work as a trolley sleeve. I wish the pictures of the inside were better too. Does anyone have that tote?
Thanks for the alert ! A new enabler for the Forum ! Thanks to your alert and the Crazy jetlag I am fighting, I was able to nab a jacket o have been eyeing - for more than a hundred dollars off! Thanks !
It's funny too because my last trip home last week routed me through SLC instead of Atlanta - and I made a special effort to go to the Cotopaxi store in the SLC airport - but just couldn't stomach the prices. Now a mere eight days later, all that stuff is on sale ! Of course the difference being I had the jacket sent home to Oklahoma, so I won't be in possession of it for a while. But that is okay for the savings.
