Hi travel forum!
I searched, but did not see a recent answer to this question. Will the Rick Steves luggage fit as cabin baggage on Ryanair? We’re flying Ryanair Dublin-Porto and Porto-London and wanted to confirm if the bags fit or not. It looks like Ryanair says their limit is 55x40x20cm. The RS Rolling Carry-on is 50.8x34.29x22.86cm and the RS Classic Back Door Bag is 53.34x35.56x22.86cm (if I converted correctly). So the length on both of them might be too long? Has anyone successfully taken them as canon baggage? Thanks for the help!
20cm depth is 7.874 inches. The Rolling Backpack will meet that depth; specs say it’s 7 inches deep. The Rolling Carry-On main compartment is 9 inches so it’s too big plus it’s very easy to over stuff.
I don’t know about Ryan Air but we just flew Swiss Air and they gate checked our RS rolling bags between Zurich and Venice. Still not sure why because it was an older plane with the large overhead bins. First time that’s happened in the last ten years.
