This looks like an advertisement.

An advertisement for what? Besides the RS article on selecting a bag? I didn't see a single mention of a brand or model of bag. Did I miss it?

I am skittish about computer stuff. When I see a post with a link from a poster with no posting history - I get wary.

Sun-Baked, if you aren't sure about a poster, just click on their name. It will tell you how many times they have posted, as well as giving a link to all of the threads they have posted on. The OP is in no way a new poster.

Thanks! I had a relative get into serious scam problems recently with a computer and am leery.

You can also find out the history of a poster by looking for their user number. Right now, new users are above 926,000. My user number is around 30,000, so obviously I've been here a while.

On a laptop, to find it you just hover your cursor over the poster's name, and it will appear in the lower left hand corner of your screen (this is on a Mac - not sure about PCs). On an iPhone, just long-press the user's name and a pop-up will appear with the user number.

Also, Sun-Baked, if you think something might be an ad, just report it instead of posting something. That way the webmaster can check it out. He has many more tools available than we do.

On Android, long press on the user's name and then tap again at the top of the popup, on the partial link that you'll see displayed to the right of the photo of Rick Steves.

Or turn your phone sideways first, and then long press on the user's name. The entire link will be displayed, including the user number at the end of the link.
