Rolling 2-Wheel Underseat Bag Option

I just learned from Amazon.com that Vera Bradley has a 25 liter rolling underseat bag. Has trolley strap. 14” x 9” x 17.”

I don’t have this bag. If paisley is your thing - a couple of the patterns are under $100. I wouldn’t pay any more than that after viewing the photos of the interior pockets. The 9” dimension can be a deal-breaker for budget airlines like Frontier.

@KD
Underseat space can be a crap-shoot. I was on Alitalia many years ago. My underseat space was completely filled by an electronics box.

Never know what you are going to get. I’m surprised your business class seat was so tight.

Well, let’s start with the fact that Delta’s premium select is in no way essentially business class. It might possibly be domestic first, but it is not business class

And of course the storage goes back to the fact that Delta design that the seat to be pathetically bad but the truth is we all want fancy electronics, etc., and those are eating up space your under seat.

the underseat area would not even allow us to stow a 12"x12"x4" fully packed backpack.

That might be why Delta does not specify maximum dimensions for personal items.

A month ago, I flew Delta domestically (Denver to Seattle). Because it was the Thursday before Memorial Day, I thought the flight might be crowded, and I would have to gate check my carry-on bag. Therefore, I used my "old" Goodhope Travelwell bag (18"x12"x6½") as my personal item for essentials (one change of cloths for church on Sunday, sink washable underwear, toilet kits, and netbook), things I absolutely had to have in Seattle, and I left everything else in my normal sub-regulation carry-on.

I had no trouble putting my personal item under the seat in front of me (and there was room for my carry-on bag in the overhead bin, so i didn't have to gate check it). I didn't stuff my personal item, so it was probably less than 6½ inches thick, but I'm sure it was more than 4 inches thick.

Delta Premium Select for International travel for our flight was a separate small cabin immediately behind the first class/business cabin. (Earlier typo: meant to say essentially behind business class.) Anyway with two extra wide seats; nonshared arm rests, foot rests, tablecloth service, glassware and those extra amenities they give you...there was nothing about it that was like being stuffed in economy. Anyway, with that, it seemed ridiculous not to be able to stuff a purse under the seat in front of us.
