The MLC45 is easily researched on youtube and on many other traveling sites. I have the MLC45 and it swaps in and out of use with my Aeronaut30 depending on my needs. Typical Patagucci: bombproof construction, huge logo, great design, multiple use modes, stupidly expensive. The MLC45 is a softside suitcase. The huge main compartment and numerous pockets will hold ALL of your of stuff, encouraging even careful onebaggers to overpack. It will squish into almost any gate sizer but it is just a wee bit too large (and can be packed way too full) for many of the bargain airlines. As others have said, it is not a good backpack although the shoulder straps are useful for mad dashes and securing the bag while napping or waiting. It is not a duffle although the handles and long cross body strap work well in lines or schlepping it around. This is a softside suitcase, nothing more, and this is a fabulous price (50%) on last year’s colors.
