Ravenna rolling carry-on

Hello! I just bought the Ravenna rolling carry-on and am leaving for Munich and Vienna in 4 days. I'm wondering where is the best place to pack my second pair of sneakers? I tried putting then in the top zippered section, but I'm worried they make it stick out too much. Any good advice out there?
Thanks, Barbara

I nest them together heel to toe and place them in the main compartment parallel to/at the wheel end of the bag as they are the heaviest items.

Ditto to Mary’s solution but I also wrap shoes in disposable shower caps (or a plastic produce bag will do) to keep street dirt off of everything else.

I've got to where I just take the one pair of shoes--I'm wearing. But there again, I wear Size 15 shoes.

Put your socks in a plastic bag and pack them inside the shoes.

I place them long-ways, with toes overlapping from opposite ends. Then I lay them on their side within the groove between the handle and the side next to the fold. Wow, that's hard to describe. I hope you get the idea...
They take up some of that awkward dead space between the grooves on the bottom where the handle lives. I have the regular rolling bag, not the Ravenna, so assuming there is that same dead space due to the handle.

I'll definitely check that out. Not sure the smaller carry-on has that space but worth a look. Thanks!

I would still bring an additional pair of shoes. If the only pair of shoes that you have with you are causing you a problem, then you have a backup pair. I have been caught short on this a couple of times when I only took one pair of shoes. I thought my shoes were well broken in when they actually weren’t. I had to waste precious travel time shopping for another pair of shoes. Not to mention the resulting blisters, etc. Lesson learned.

Yes, Mary, another vote for spare shoes, I have had shoes completely saturated in " gully-washer " storms and have been grateful for dry shoes to wear the next day

Barb, I have that rolling Ravenna (and the matching back pack. And the matching flight bag. You are getting good advice. I tend to use the top compartment as a big packing cube for clean shirts and pants. I bought a large book while on a trip, placed in the outside front compartment, and popped a few stitches on the flight home (which I was able to fix by hand) but I would caution against over stressing the front pocket

That's exactly what I thought about that top section. I would never travel without a second pair of shoes, I've also been caught in rain with soaked shoes! I usually use a nice travel backpack that has a separate compartment in the bottom just for shoes. Wussing out this trip with a roller! Everyone's been so helpful, really appreciate all the good advice!
