Raiding a toddlers closet for travel gear

I am always on the lookout for travel gear and on a recent visit to a family member with small children, I found some good stuff.

Diaper Wet Dry Bags are meant for transporting soiled diapers, but I am going to use one as a travel bag for my swimsuit.

Pacifier pouch works as well as the pricy Matador Soap Bar Case. I can store a damp shampoo bar in it and the bar will dry out after a few hours.

Muslin Swaddle Blankets are soft and absorbent plus they pack down small making them a perfect travel towel. And some are pretty enough to use as a scarf. As a side note, my niece uses them to dry her hair. It is a hack that she discovered for maintaining curly hair.

Nice, inexpensive finds. Thanks for sharing. I’ll take a walk through the baby departments more often with travel finds in mind.

Definitely like the idea of the swaddle blankets. They are very soft and not too big. Good thinking.

Great ideas! I packed yesterday for my upcoming trip and always just throw a plastic bag in for my swimsuit, but I will check out the ones you mentioned.

I always use baby nail clippers. They are much smaller than adult ones, and I have small hands so I have just always used them ever since our kids were born.

Good idea! I have some leftover double gauze fabric that I used to make baby blankets when my grandkids were infants. I'll have to dig that out and convert them to a travel towel. I love it!

Thanks, Cerastez!

That’s very smart!
I like the one for keeping soap dry.
Who would have thought!

Now, Mardee: we need you to trawl the baby departments for a few good travel bags…. ;))

Lololol!!!

Having just babysat a 3-yr old great nephew overnight, when I read your title I wondered how Hot Wheels were going to fit in with travel gear….

The pacifier case sounds excellent, particularly the dino print, lol!

Speaking of travel bags, there are some amazing diaper bags out there that would make great personal items on a flight. They are cute, hold allot, and have some clever organization.
