Hi Donna, though it sounds funny to wear wool in summer, I always pack three thin wool t-shirts from Patagonia. It's the Merino 1 Silkweight T-shirt. They are expensive but they last a long time. Here's the link http://www.patagonia.com/us/search/womens%20wool%201

Oh, Patagonia has a sale right now and a few are on sale http://www.patagonia.com/us/shop/web-specials-womens-baselayer-merino1?k=1E-6M-aI-ga

I take black, brown, and lavender and then just wear a scarf if I want to "fancy" it up. I wash them in the sink and they dry overnight. They take no space in my luggage. I roll them and they don't really even wrinkle. I also have a long sleeve black one that is perfect like a lightweight sweater.

Have a great trip!

Eddie Bauer has a new line of travel clothing, all of which are quick drying and non-wrinkling. I have had some luck finding these on clearance in the Eddie Bauer outlet near me. The website also features clearance items as well.

I'll join in with my own favorites. You may classify them as clingy but the shirring and drape makes them very flattering and feminine. I'd size up a size if you don't want a fitted look. They'll still look great.

Royal Robbins short sleeve Noe shirt - 96% modal and 4% spandex. This is a very light weight shirt with convertible sleeves. You can wear them tank style, cap style, or short style. I have a lot of fun styling the looks. I can even get a "greek goddess" look by styling one sleeve tank and one sleeve short sleeve.

Title Nine Breeze - poly/rayon/spandex. Wow, this shirt makes me look fantastic!

As an FYI, I'm pretty curvy so very conscious about clingy. These shirts are a bit on the pricey side but I have decided they are well worth the money because they look so good. I have also found that Sierra Trading Post and Amazon have last year's colors on sale.

Here's another vote for Lands End Modal t-shirts. They come in lots of great colors, dry quickly, and weigh practically nothing. If you have a Sears store with a Lands End shop near you, and try on various sizes (maybe go up a size bigger than normal), maybe you can find one that works. I don't find mine clingy, and actually find the little bit of shaping to be flattering.

My "go-to" travel tee is this one by Ex Officio:

It is cotton, poly, and spandex and dries very quickly when washed. The fabric Has a dry " hand" and is not clingy. I like the lower neckline and longer ( almost elbow length) sleeves, which make it dressier and more flattering than a regular tee.

I also love the lightweight merino tees as mentioned above, although mine are Icebreaker not Patagonia. The cut is very casual and athletic so I save these for hiking or layering. My husband, however, wears his Patagonia merino tees everywhere.

I have a few t shirts in a coolmax fabric by Izod, which makes gold type clothing. I have 2 of the same nice looking black and bright pink T. I do wear them to work as business wear with a blazer and scrf.

I also found a Danskin brand T, with a V neck. I also wear this to work. It is in a coolmax type material. The Izod does dry overnight. One trip I had not planned for such warm temps, so I wore the same T many times, sink washed after dinner out and rolled d in my travel towel to take out most of the moisture, and hung to dry. I did find the Danskin at Value Village, similar to Goodwill. It is amazing what can be found at shops like that. Some consignment stores have an activewear area, look there too as it is not only cotton T's and yoga pants! A great way to save $$ for travel.

I buy lots of lightweight t-shirts for travel from Travel Smith. They have pretty designs and colors. I also have bought luggage there too and other travel stuff. Their things are well made and they have been around a long time, selling only items for travelers. www.travelsmith.com/women/tops-shirts/ They also will give a new customer some discounts too. They sell a lot of travel accessories for men and women as well as clothes and luggage.

Just saw short-sleeve t-shirts at Costco which say they are quick drying and moisture wicking -- manufacturer is 32-degrees, price $6.99. Anybody have experience with these??

Under Amour has a nice line of washable, v-neck short sleeve tees that come in lots of colors. In my area I buy then at Fred Meyer but a lot of spring goods does likely carry them. I'm a sturdy build and they work for me.

I lean towards cotton polyester blended. Lately, I seem to be shopping clearance sales. My wardrobe has Target (Mossimo), Kohls (Apt9, Sonoma, VeraWang), LandsEnd, TravelSmith, ExOfficio, Magellans, LLBean, Old Navy, Sports Authority....... I like to invest in a couple of dressier tops from Travelsmith and Lands End. I'll pack 2 neutrals and a color, or 1 print-1 color-1 neutral.

If I cut this list short for tops it would be LandsEnd, TravelSmith, and Target. Bottoms it would be Travelsmith, LLBean, Lands End.
