Dear Hubby wants pants he can wash in the sink that will dry overnight. He does not want the ones with zip off pant legs. Any suggestions where Santa may find these?
Thanks

Hi bjs, take a look at the guide pro pants from Eddie Bauer. They look nice, dry in hours, no ironing needed. My BF has several pair. I also have some of the women’s version.

I am GAGA in love with Lululemon ABC Pants for travel. and everyday in fact.
Don't let the Lulu label fool you. They are normal looking chino style pants that bridge casual to good looking enough for work. No visible logos.
I teach my university lectures in them with a tucked in dress shirt and they look great. Not a hiking pants look like the Eddie Bauer Guide Pros (which are nice pants). ABC's are super comfortable, with some stretch. I'll use them as lounge on the couch cozy pants, and if I happen to walk into my home gym while wearing them no problem for a light workout. They are great for outdoor active stuff.
They were my only pants for a one month trip last summer. Sink wash and dry quick like no other pants I've worn on many trips to Europe. I'm pathologically picky about the pocket in my travel pants. The ABC's pass the test. Big deep straight drop in pockets (side slash pockets suck for travel) that don't show like big pockets -- you can't see them like with cargo pants etc. Tight deep inner wallet pocket in the front right pocket. Secure storage. And then inside the back right pocket there is a hidden zippered pocket that fits a passport exactly. So well thought.
They aren't cheap, and rarely go on sale. But quality is excellent and there are many sizes in single inch increments. There are two fabric choices - I got the lighter "Warpstreme" fabric. It's been durable so far and I've ridden bikes probably 300 hundred miles in these pants. No saddle wear. Good colors too. I have a few, but picked the dark gray for travel. It matches everything, and is just dark enough that it hides stains between washes.
My husband and I also have the Eddie Bauer guide pants (I also have several pair of the capri length), and hubby also has the travel pants. Look nice and sink wash/dry great!
My husband and I both have quick-dry pants and shorts from LL Bean and REI. They cinch at the ankle, have wonderful zippered pockets, etc. Now is a good time to buy because of all the holiday deals.
I've posted about these BR pants before they are great for travel and look like grownup pants (no zipping)

My husband wears nothing but Prana Stretch Zion pants or Kuhl Deceptr pants, whether at home or while we travel.

The Prana Zion pants fabric has a matte finish and a cottony feel. The Kuhl pants are lighter weight and have a bit of texture and more stretch. Neither fabric is the least bit “slinky” or shiny. (I don’t know about the mens’ Eddie Bauer Guide Pro pants, but mine are slightly on the smooth and shiny side, which he would hate). They both have at least one zippered pocket and neither has baggy “cargo” pockets.
Both dry overnight when sink-washed and pressed dry with a towel before hanging them up in a spot with good air circulation.
The Prana pants are on sale at REI right now so you might start there. They run true to size in both waist and length.
I second (third?) the vote for the EB Guide Pro pants (and shorts). That's all I wore (bottom-wise) on our VFR Tour in October. I really like that there are two front zipper pockets; most pants in this range only have one. They are very light-weight and dry quickly.
Thanks Donna, for the Xmas gift idea for my husband!
Lindy, I have several pairs of the LLBEAN pants, love them!
Dry on the Fly pants from Duluth Trading.
Eddie Bauer has a line of clothing called Travex that is meant for travel. It’s pretty much all I take when I travel now, pants, t-shirts and shirts can all be hand washed and will easily dry overnight, and not prone to wrinkling when stuffed in a suitcase.
BassPro or Cabela's is where I buy mine for summer travel. Orvis has nice ones too. But a bit more $$$$
Costco has been selling nice Orvis Tech pants for men at our local store recently and online. Very durable, wrinkle resistant, dries overnight, 3-4 colors, super inexpensive and no zip off legs. My husband has a pair in each color.
Lots of options at Costco.
I know I am late in replying, but check hiking pants from: REI and Outdoor Research (we swear by their Ferrosi pants for men and women).
Choose the ones with cargo pockets, they are very handy for travel.
Sam’s Club (in club and online) sells Denali pants. Variety of colors: grey, black, khaki and navy, too. They have gone on 2 RS tours of 15 days, sink wash well and dry very quickly. They are not zip offs and look like day one many days in to the vacation.
