Question about Dress Codes for Children

Hi! We're planning to visit London, Paris, and Rome with two 10-year-old children this summer. The information on many of the churches mention not wearing shorts or having bare shoulders. Does this generally apply for children as well? Are some of the more famous sites (e.g., the Vatican) more particular than others?

Thank you!
Chris

Yes it applies. Everyone needs shoulders and knees covered. You can bring or purchase lightweight scarves (they are everywhere) that you can drape over shoulders and wrap around your waist like a skirt (over shorts). These serve in a pinch when you want to keep cool otherwise but want to go in churches too...
