Has anyone traveled with the new Portland Getaway backpack? I’m looking for pros and cons on functionality, comfort, general usability.

I have posted previously about how much I like my PG Compact backpack. Looking at this it's got the same top/stay open opening that I find so convenient.
It looks like a bigger version of mine, with the addition of the nifty bottom option and spacious interior.
I can speak to the quality, I use mine often as my personal item and it looks like new. The only caveat is it's a little heavy.
I see this model is 3+ lbs. So if you have weight restrictions (I fly Lufthansa sometimes) that could be a consideration. I don't use mine as an everyday bag for this reason, only in transit.
