Packease compression system

Hi fellow travelers, looking for experience with compression systems for packing, and any comments about the packease system in particular. All suggestions welcome!

I have used packing cubes for years. Recently, I have been using compression packing cubes (zipper system). Initially, I was worried that my clothes would be wrinkled. They didn't turn out any more wrinkled that the ones without compression, which for me is not that wrinkled.

I took a look at the product you referenced - it looks really efficient. I'd have a weight concern vs volume, wrinkled or not.
If you fly primarily "legacy" airlines with more generous (if any) weight limits for cabin bags, it looks like a great (albeit expensive- $70 for one?) option.
For regional planes or those with more restrictions on weight, I'm not so sure. Compressing 10 shirts, say, instead of only taking 2-3 and sink washing is going to add up.
I also wonder about that pile of clothes they demo, all squooshed together - do you then recompress it every time you need to find something?
I use 2-3 semi-compressible fabric ones (zippered around the side) and also two old-school "manual" roll up versions of a true compression bag, meant for coats or blankets, flat on the bottom of the suitcase for laundry. A small and a medium. When something is ready to become laundry on the trip I slide it in to keep it separate from my other clothing
Eventually I start to compress them and it does help keep organized. For my clamshell suitcase or backpack, one side slowly becomes all flattened laundry and I tuck small purchases in and around.
Finding a system that meets your own needs is definitely trial and error, since everyone is different! Good luck!

I just use regular packing cubes for organization. They will still compress down using the compression straps inside (and outside) my backpack.

Compression packing cubes have extra zippers which add weight to the cube. If you are a light one bag packer, every gram counts.

Because compression cubes encourage packing more and thus heavier, we use just the mesh RS cubes. Before we adopted the pack-light philosophy we used gallon ziplocks. Fill them, zip to within an inch of closure, sit on them to squeeze out all the air, and zip the last inch closed.
