Packable Backpack with Trolley Sleeve.

I'm looking for a packable/foldable backpack that has a trolley strap to go over the handles of a wheeled bag. Approximately 20L.

I'm having trouble finding one. Any ideas?

(Not interested in using a luggage strap or bungee cords or the backpack straps to attach it to my wheeled bag. It must have a trolley strap.)

Thanks but neither of the two mentioned are packable. I'm looking to lower the weight from my current backpack.

Mardee...thanks for that. Unfortunately, it is too big. I want to use it as my personal item so it should be around 40 x 30 x 20 or even smaller.

I'm trying to cut down on weight which is why I am looking at a foldable/packable bag. My current backpack with trolly strap weighs about 1 lb 6 oz.

Sorry Frank, didn't catch that you had a weight limit!

If the primary concern is light weight, why does it need a trolly sleeve? Won’t you either be wearing it as a backpack or have it folded up and packed away in your main roller bag?

When transporting luggage, I prefer to carry the backpack on top of my rolling bag.

And most times, I won't use the backpack as a backpack. It will just be my personal item.

I use the RS Appenzell as my carry-on (original RS 22" roller is checked) and I pack my Civita day pack inside it - it can be pulled out and used as the personal item if needed.

It is 14L and weighs 10 Oz. The microfiber has proved to be incredibly durable.

It doesn't have a trolley strap. The top handle JUST fits over the extended two shaft handle of the carry-on. I would find the bag that checks most of the boxes and then make it work - use a carabiner or a velco strap to clip the bag to the shaft of the carry-on.

Well, that is a backpack, it's packable, has a trolley sleeve, and it's light

Size 9.4" x 16.5" x 6.3"
Weight 0.5 lbs
Capacity 18L
Was my suggestion up thread.
So, right, as far as Away, now I'm confused about your dream dimensions, which must be in centimeters? If so, either this one (also packs into a pocket) or the other just shared, also from Away, are about as light as you can find and certainly more than a pound lighter than yours.
I have a couple Eddie Bauer packable backpacks that fold up but the requisite trolley strap is missing.
One last (pricey) attempt is Peak Design in either 15 or 20 l. If not including the camera gear stuff it weighs just over a pound.

Good luck!

I'm leaving London tomorrow but I'll be back in June. At that time, I'll go to the Away store and check out the backpack.

The Paravel also looks interesting.

Thanks but I've used a few different "add a bag" straps. I hated them.

I'll stick with the trolley sleeve.

Frank, I've been looking for the same thing as you. I have a small, light backpack that I like a lot, but no luggage sleeve. I think I'm going to take it a luggage repair shop and see if they can sturdily attach a sleeve. And I really appreciate all the ideas offered in this thread!

I’m super late to the party, but I recently discovered Alpa. Several sizes of an awesome super lightweight/collapsible backpack with a trolley sleeve. Best part IMO is that it opens up to 2 pack able sides like a suitcase- not 1 large one like a normal backpack. See what I mean in the photos:

I’ve been trying to find a cheaper alternative but after several hours of research this seems to be the only pack that checks all the boxes for myself: lightweight so u can pack it empty in a suitcase, fills out the maximum carryon measurement requirement, has trolley sleeve, easy to pack interior.
