Sierra has the doubly named Sojourner Porter 46L pack in two colors (black and kinda copper) for $100. This is an excellent bag and works as a carryon if it's not packed out to its maximum. Older versions were compatible with the Daylite and Daylite Plus day packs, which could be attached. I don't know if that is still the case. It doesn't have an adjustable harness.

I used to carry a 40ish liter pack. Then, with tightening restrictions, I am down to 27 liters. Could be more folks are going minimal. That’s probably also why the 30 liter bag is about the same price. It’s about supply and demand.
