Original Back Door Bag

I'm in the process of moving and in clearing out stuff I found my first Rick Steves bag, the original Back Door Bag, circa 1988.

It looks nothing like his bag today.....it has a horizontal profile, I believe it's ballistic nyon, YKK zippers, the internal tie-down straps have to actually be tied together-no clips, hideaway backpack straps, a shoulder strap, and two outer pockets.

Anyone else have one of these?

I wonder if I could sell it as a collector's item on Ebay?? :)

Nah, just donate it as the first artifact of the new RS Museum in Edmonds.

We have three bags, same age, and still in use and still look good. Ours may be older than 88. We did add clips to the internal tie downs.
