nite ize s biner

I read about the nite ize s binder and how they are a deterrent for pick pocketing. I purchased the #2 online and can’t seem to figure it out how to lock it. Any ideas?

I use Nite Ize all the time. I have one of the minis on my pant belt loop. You slide the little rubber piece back and forth to either lock it or unlock it. I attach the remote to my car on mine.

I have plastic ones with the same dialmthing in the middle that you twist to lock or unlock.

There are some that don't lock, and there are 2 different types of locks on the ones that do lock.

LIZinPA thank you for the link. Looks easy enough to lock. Too bad that there is not a multi pack.

I use these to lock the zipper heads together on my purse in some locations. It helps to have a 2 way zipper, othereise you need to find some other hardware to hook it to.....or sew on a tiny D ring as a second attachment.
I think mine came in a two pack.
Eddie Bauer stores in Canada sell these brands, so maybe check out their website - and REI.

An easy way to lock a purse or pocket zipper is to put a safety pin across the track just by the slider.

I bought a 5 pack of the small Nite Ize S binder microlock clips at Home Depot for about $10 a few weeks ago. Found them in the section with padlocks for gym lockers and other carabiner clips.

Bigger/realer probably won't work in this situation.

I agree. No one wants to secure their purse with a locking carabiner! The #2 s-biner is just the right size to slip through the purse zippers ( or luggage zippers).

A full size carabiner won’t go through the hardware, is much more expensive, and quite a bit heavier. They’re great for mountaineering. Not so good for domestic stuff.

I used a plastic one with the microlock ( the little thing you turn like a dial) to hold two zipper plus together on a checked duffel bag full of backpacking equipment ( tent, sleeping bag and pad, backpack, and more). When I unpacked, I found a TSA note inside, explaining that they inspected my bag contents ( fine) but had to break off the "lock" to open the bag ( not fine). It is pretty annoying that they could not figure out power to open that little 'biner and had to break it instead.
