Oh, nice!!! I like the changes and the addition of a 20L—it would make a great day pack.

I went to their website and was surprised to see some two-wheeled roller bag options. And some more subdued colors.

I have a 35L Allpa and have been impressed with the design features.

Mardee, the Shopping Enabler - LOL!

For anyone interested in a regular-priced item that isn’t on sale, the site has a 20% off with your email address. I did that when I purchased my Cotopaxi a few years ago. Then I just unsubscribed later.

Ha ha, Jean, I am well aware of that 20% off! I used that promotion to buy my Allpa35L, and just used it again a few minutes ago to buy the Allpa20L. Yes, I succumbed. Maybe I should pass the enabling torch to Frank!

Mustlovedogs, you can find the new items on the Cotopaxi site as well, and as Jean mentioned, go for the 20% off!

Tried to post a minute ago and my font size had a gremlin attack!

There are currently two shoulder genies speaking to me about this news. One is saying, no, you do not need another bag. The other is saying, yes, check this out bc you can always gift your kids one (or two!) Lol

I may run over to REI at some point and check the updated one out. I just checked and they are in stock. I bought, and subsequently returned, a 35L Cotopaxi several months ago bc its weight distribution felt wonky on my back and the shoulder straps weren’t working for me. Given the changes, maybe it would be a possibility. My daughter was seriously eyeing the eBags mother lode jr I bought when they had the incredible sale, so…

The new version is kinda pricey though! The 20% off would be helpful!

I really like the "fanny pack" I have and their business model and philosophies socially and environmentally. I'd be tempted by the subdued new colors!
I do now sometimes need wheels, though. If only their wheeled option wasn't so heavy! It's nearly 7 pounds and that's about two more pounds than Away-ish carbonite options
Thanks for the news!

Last month, in preparation for our RS France My Way tour, I took a long, hard look at the 28 L Allpa pack, but decided against it for 2 reasons: the lack of a stretch water bottle pocket and a pass-through strap for roller bags. I ended up getting a Patagonia Black Hole 25 L pack instead, because it had both. It looks like I wasn't the only one looking for these features as the new Allpa now has both! I'm going to stick with the Patagonia, though, because I like the front pocket for stashing my iPad, versus the back sleeve area on the Allpa. Plus, Patagonia was having a 30% sale on the bags. That being said, I really don't think you can go wrong with either.

Just took a look at this new updated version of the 35L Allpa. The improvements are noticeable. I tried it on and could immediately tell they have made changes somehow to how its weight is distributed. Or maybe it is the different padding on the back and/or shoulder straps? It was very comfortable to have on, albeit empty. It felt lighter to me, but I don’t know if it actually is. The new water bottle pouch is a nice size, flexible as well. They had the spruce blue there at REI. Really pretty- definitely not as bright as the aquamarine blue I had looked at months ago. They only had the one out, so I couldn’t compare it to other new colors or the Del Dia. It is a really nice backpack and I can see it continuing to gain popularity.

Ruth, I've been drooling over the Alpa 28. Are you using it as a personal item or as your primary bag? Would you mind writing a review of it when you return?
