My favorite large check-in luggage from Lojel is on sale!!!

I have been raving about this brand in this forum for years and the moment has finally come for a sale to happen.

Lojel is a quality luggage maker in Japan. Unlike Samsonite and Delsey, they don't make lower end products. My husband has been using their 31-inch hard-sided suitcase for 6 years and it still rocks! Sturdy, relatively lightweight, and well designed. Its excellent wheels have helped us navigate through Europe's cobblestone streets and gravel paths. Also, this suitcase offers 80:20 opening for easy packing--it opens almost like a soft-sided case--rather than the 50-50 "book style" which makes packing troublesome. This model has been discontinued.

I have long been advocating for Lojel's current flagship product--their Cubo line, which opens exactly like a soft-sided case, but a large Cubo costs $340 and it's now sold out.

The good news is that another excellent hard-sided model, which offers 85:15 opening, is now on sale at an online vendor as follows:

I just ordered the 31" in Olive Green color and can't wait. The price can't be beaten ($110-120) for the versatility, volume, and quality. I don't want to keep this secret and want to share it with everyone of you. Happy shopping!

Do you take the 31-inces to Europe? I had a hard enough time in Switzerland with my 26-inch that I'm going to try a 22-inch for my June trip.

Yes, I always take the max size to Europe. I like bringing all sorts of goodies (food, wine, clothes, souvenirs, home decor items, kitchenware...etc.) back to the US.

Also, I pack two pairs of footwear for each of the two of us (1 pair of hiking boots and 1 extra pair of shoes)--so four pairs in total.

A hard-sided case is now a must as airline handlers managed to damage multiple soft-sided cases over the past 2+ decades of international travel. In addition, hard cases are easier to clean; I just wipe it down. On the other hand, the fabric of soft cases can trap small insects, including bed bugs.

UPDATE: my shipment arrived three days after ordering. Looking forward to using this suitcase during my travel!!

I checked it out on-line and all I could think about was, how much Swiss chocolate I could fit in that suitcase. 😊 I would love something that big for more souvenirs, but no way could I mange it on the trains by myself.

I never have problems filling up a suitcase. I usually do most of my shopping in the departure city. Many items purchased are not really heavy, but bulky. So, a larger suitcase helps. Also, this particular suitcase is not heavier than many 27-28" sizes. Yet, the functionality and quality are superior at an affordable price.
