We will be going to Portugal in late September, and part of that will be spent in the Algarve. My husband has some lightweight synthetic hiking pants, that are quick drying but not particularly breathable. He found some Quince ones for $50, but does anyone know if they are scratchy? I’ve read that linen/cotton blends are not as cool as pure linen. We’re fine with the wrinkles. Thanks for any advice. I’m well versed in women’s clothing, but not men’s.
There was a post, I think, this past November, for ideas for men's traveling clothes. One recommendation was for Eddie Bauer hiking pants. My husband has plenty of the hiking pants with the zip off legs that are of a totally hiking vibe. However, I sprung for the Eddie Bauer pants. I like them because they are a bit more dressy in appearance. He found them cool and comfortable to wear. I like them because they look like "normal" pants.

Does your husband like shorts? I got my husband a few pairs of nice looking golf shorts in blue, gray and tan. He finds them very cool and comfortable to wear and often brings them along on trips to just wear as casual shorts.
Oh, and come to think of it, he has a pair of tan golf pants that I don't think he has ever worn for golf, but he pulls them out for the outdoor graduations that have approached 95degrees. Sorry, no links. I probably got them at Golf Galaxy or the Golf Warehouse (TGW)
I didn’t purchase Quince pants but have purchased Quince woman’s Linen shirts. Not scratchy at all and don’t wrinkle too much. Used them in Egypt and in Paris.

My absolute favorite travel pants are linen blend from Old Navy. In women’s, I have both wide leg and straight leg. They also sell men’s linen blend trousers. $49.99 and currently 30% off. https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=845048022&vid=1&searchText=Men%20linen%20pants#pdp-page-content
@Bob, it sure does. But, I copied and pasted from their website. They are called “Guide Pro” and I just went back to their website available in every size combination except one.
I just discovered Lululemon for Mens. Stopped in based on a wide array of recommendations. Light weight, comfortable and stylish. Added three pair for our Heart of Portugal in Sept 2024. No Safari pants or shorts for me.
Check out Tommy Bahama or, better yet a Tommy Bahama Outlet.
