May 23 -June 9th best of Europe: too early for sandals?

Not sure if it would be a total waste to take a cute but comfortable pair of sandals on 14 day best of Europe trip last week of May 23rd- June 9th. Is it going to be too cold and rainy in Germany and Swiss Alps to make it worth taking a pair of sandals?

If you have room in your suitcase, I’d say take them. Weather anymore is so unpredictable. We’re traveling through western Germany and have had temps in the mid to high 70s for a week. Yesterday it was 81 degrees in Weinheim, Germany. I wish I had my Naot sandals.

a couple of days ago I had sandals on in our English Heat Wave.

Back in the closet now.

Thank you everyone, I will take the sandals. Even though the weather is supposed to be questionable. Thank you Nigel. I am going to take my email off any future questions.

Hey there, you can actually edit your profile and even your question above, so you can still take your email address off if you prefer...

Frankly I was OK without sandals in 80F in Frankfurt yesterday, but if you have room you might enjoy having a second pair of shoes. It's the THIRD pair that start to add weight! HA. Good luck.

Our trip is still 3 weeks out and I know weather can change very quickly, but it is calling for a some amount of rain in Germany and the Swiss Alps. So, two pairs of closed shoes gives me the chance of dry warm shoes after hiking in the rain all afternoon. Thanks for all the input, but still undecided at this point. Trying really hard not to overpack, but I feel this time of year makes it harder.
