Mailing large mirrors from Spain - Packing Issue

Does anyone have a resource for packing a large wooden crate or box in Toledo, Spain? (Or, possibly, Madrid or Barcelona Spain?)

We hope to buy 4-6 large mirrors from a small store in Toledo that we visited last year. The woman there was not open to shipping. If we need to ship a wooden box or crate weighing 100-150 pounds, we can use FedEx or DHL but need to have the mirrors packed.

Could not find mirror in USA and my wife REALLY loves it.

Wow, will those be expensive mirrors. There will be packing or shipping companies in those cities. Because the locals often have these types of shipping needs. Use goggle for those areas. Find a UPS or FedEx office and ask for a recommendation for a packing company. And take out insurance.

We shipped a large piece of art work (about 4' in diameter) but it was metal so breakage was not a concerning. The studio did the packing and shipping. Came via Italian post in about three weeks. I think you will have to find a company to do the packing so that the insurance is good.

I appreciate all of the help. When we spoke to DHL, FedEx and UPS, they did not have any suggestions for packing. However, we have done business with another store in Toledo that we may be able to pay to pack and ship these mirrors. I will do more searches tomorrow though.

Is it an option to buy just the frames and have mirror glass fitted at home? Maybe that would reduce weight and allow packing in more common materials.

Thanks Frank, Laura and Ray. The situation has been resolved because the other business that we have used in Toledo has agreed to ship the mirrors. We just need to get them to his shop.
Who is this great helper? Mariano Zamorano, who produces the best steel knives, swords, daggers, etc. in Spain. We asked if he knew of a shipper and he offered to help us out. He is mentioned in Rick's works about Toledo and rightly deserves our utmost thanks.
Stop by his wonderful shop the next time you are in Toledo.
