Long term baggage hold in Rome (Termini?)

My son is currently studying in Montepulciano Italy for a semester abroad. We will join him in October for 2 weeks and travel to Florence, Cinque Terre, Venice and finish in Rome for 4 days. However (here's the problem) ..... he packed for 2 seasons and several months. We really don't want to lug that much luggage around Italy. Is there an option to store his large suitcase if he meets us in Rome upon our arrival? (Total 11 days until we return to Rome and could retrieve it) Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Would it be feasible to ship a box of stuff home before you start traveling? There are several Mailboxes Etc locations in Roma, there may be one in Montepulciano. I recently shipped a 10kilogram bix, packaged by Mailboxes Etc, for about €80.

Here's a suggestion that worked for us in dublin Ireland, our rendezvous was at a dublin hotel, where we spent the first night, we had rooms reserved (and of course, held on a credit card) for the night before we flew out, and they were willing to hold bags for us.

Are you staying Rome the first night of your arrival and your son will be bringing a suitcase to you then? If so, I'd do what the previous poster says and ask the hotel to hold it until you return for your 4 night stay at the end at the same hotel.

If this isn't the plan couldn't you just pick it up as you return to Rome at the end of your trip and take it with you from his residence to Rome at the end?
