Logan air handbag

Hello everyone,
New to this forum and to lighter packing in general.

I'm going to be traveling on Loganair next year, very restrictive baggage sizes. I think I understand most of what I found on their website, but for cabin luggage, it lists a handbag in addition to a bit larger bag. Does anyone know what the size of the handbag needs to be? Thanks

Hi! This is probably the website you were on. I don't see any measurements for the small handbag. (Whatever "small" handbag means, but probably not a weighty backpack...) And thanks for this topic; I had no idea about this airline. Good info for the future!

On here, it adds "compact" handbag. I've looked elsewhere...nothing. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

But 6 kg for the carry on? Yikes!!

Yes, thanks. That was the website I was on. I wasn’t thinking it would be very big but I would like some guidelines. I think I can do the 6 kg for cabin luggage, but might have to check a small bag on this air line even though my planned rental apartments all have washers so far.

I guess I’ll just have to play with it when my trip gets closer.

I just posted on your other thread regarding Loganair reliability. I flew 3 segments with them in August. Even though I pack light I couldn’t get down to their size/weight restrictions so checked my main bag. It seemed that most others did too as there was not an issue with trying to cram bags in to the overhead on my flights that I noticed.

The three planes I flew on were prop planes (had forgotten how much they vibrate) and the overhead bins were small. Underseat space was fairly good and since they don’t have any entertainment systems there were no electronics boxes taking up foot space.

For my personal item I carried this Baggallini Anyday Tote. It was stuffed fairly full. I wore my rain jacket onto the plane.

I love that bag! Just like I love the ten other different bags I have. Lol. Does it zip closed at the top? Oh no! Maybe I need an intervention! It’s like a disease really.

But I’m glad you thought there was enough under seat space.

Omg…laughing so hard!! This forum is ace at enabling me on buying bags!

Yes, that Baggallini zips shut. It weighs about 1.5# so heavier than I would like but I like the organization plus I like the light color interior. My SIL has borrowed it too. She took it to France for 2+ weeks this summer, then I took it to Orkney and Shetland and now she’s borrowed it again today for a few days in Seattle area, lol. That bags loves to travel and never gets cranky with jet lag!😉🤣

Well, enabling or not, I’m glad you posted that link! :) The Baggallini is definitely on my list of possibles now. I’m glad to see how well it has held up for you and your SIL. Real world experience is the best!
