I am wondering if anyone know where I can get very light weight cotton loose fitting elastic waist pants, since this is what I wear a lot during travel and my pair need to be replaced and that company does not make them any more.
Thanks!
Quince makes good quality pants.
100% Organic Cotton Gauze Straight Leg Pants
Organic Stretch Cotton Wide Leg Chino Pants
Ordered! Thank you, Mary!
For something a little different, look at the styles by Xcvi. They are a bit expensive, but there are sales. The ruching hides any wrinkles.
Good luck!
The linen pants on the Quince website look like just what I've been wanting. My trusty linen travel pants finally wore out a couple of years ago, and I haven't found a satisfactory replacement. I did get a pair of linen pants from Lands End, but they're a lot heavier than I wanted. I may have to try the Quince.
Has anyone had any experience returning them?
Hello, If you are asking about returning clothes to Quince, then I can attest to the fact it’s easy to do. I haven’t experienced any problems the two times I’ve done so.
Can I trust the sizing information on the Quince website? I've been burned in the past by looking at the waist measurements shown, ordering the appropriate size (larger than what I'd normally buy) and finding the slacks were too big.
OK, this is weird that you posted this now because I got a new catalog in the mail yesterday with cotton clothing from India. I have NOT tried them so do not know about the fit or weight but they have some cute pants. The website is https://www.marketplaceindia.com
The catalog says it is fostering women run co-ops who make the clothing. I don't know if this is true or not but I hope so.
Thanks, rking111 and Pam.
From your description, have you looked at places that sell "Hospital Scrubs"?
There's a lot of easy care non-cotton fabrics there but I seem to remember a lot of simple cotton ones as well.
edit: Walmart just one of the links you get with "hospital scrubs" search:
(selected: bottoms, cotton, cotton-blend)
I was just going to say: scrub pants!
Lots of pockets, very cool in hot weather, many colours, elastic or drawstring waists!
I was an RN and miss my comfy work clothes!
Can I trust the sizing information on the Quince website?
I haven’t bought any pants from Quince (yet) but their dresses and sweaters are true to size. I am petite.
Pam, darn you!!! Those pants are so cool looking!!! I may never leave this website!
I have several items of clothing from Marketplace of India and they're all well-made and have lasted me a long time.
SandraL, good to know!
I love to catalog shop and I’ve been wondering about Quince, so thanks for the comments. And now another site I’ve never heard of, thanks Pam! Linen or cool cotton for Texas summers make so much sense.
@SandraL - I agree with Mardee...good to know first hand experience! I love their crop pants but will wait until it quits snowing to decide if I need new ones, hahaha!
@Lynda - Do you ever look at the TravelFashionGirl Facebook page? A LOT of the women on there use Quince a lot and seem to have good experiences.
You folks are influencers! I ordered a pair of black cotton wide leg pants hoping I’ll look fashionable! They are shorter length which is perfect for my 5’1” body. I was concerned about getting them in time for my departure to Paris since they are shipped from India but they arrived about a week after I ordered. Love them!
