ISO white scoop neck tee

Hi all! I’m trying to find a women’s white scoop neck tee, short sleeve, travel-friendly fabric, not translucent. Is there such a beast? Everything I’ve found in white is practically see-thru.

I buy a lot of t-shirts from Talbots. Great quality and they usually have good sales. They travel well too.

I, too, buy tee shirts from Talbots. I also buy them from LL Bean and Land's End. The quality of all three is very good.

I love Talbots t-shirts also, but their white ones (and some light colors) are hit-and-miss as far as opacity. I generally have good luck with Lands End or LL Bean white tees, but they are a heavier cotton, so if you're hoping to wash in a sink and hang to dry they're probably not the best choice unless you're traveling somewhere pretty hot and dry.

REI has a variety of t-shirts on sale right now (look under the "Deal" tab), including some made from a tencel/lycra blend.

LandsEnd supima cotton tees are a thin but dense fabric that I like for travel. I sometimes hand wash, but mostly do laundromats when traveling. Not translucent, but I only wear nude color bras, which might make a difference.

You might try Vermont Country Store.
Every item of clothing I've bought from them is top quality.

I also buy from Talbots, Lands' End and L.L.Bean.
Check the reviews for any clothing you buy from L.L.Bean before ordering, as I have returned some items for not being the quality Bean used to be known for.

Amazon has white athletic fabric t’s that travel nicely. Or try other sporting goods brands like Columbia.

When do you need it by? I have been looking at the Land's End site but they do not have their spring/summer stuff in yet. They used to have awesome cotton/modal tees that were great but they've not had them since Covid (not sure if there is any correlation, lol.) and I was hoping against hope that it would come back this year!

I got a Tee shirt from LLBean last summer and it's nice and thick but it's all cotton and does not dry overnight.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’m not traveling until the end of May, so I have time. I do have a couple of white tees from Lands End that would be okay, but they’re not quick dry, which I would prefer.

Old Navy, Gap, even Walmart.
Cheaper, but if you only need them for a trip…..

Trotter, do you have a link for that Tencel/Lycra tee that REI has? Or name the brand? I looked under “Deals”, but there are so many, like 92 t-shirts, and I can’t sort through them all to find the one made of Tencel. I am a big fan of that fabric. I have an REI brand Tencel/Lycra tee that I bought 20+years ago and it still looks and feels great.

If quick dry is what you prefer, I like Under Armour. You can find it on Amazon. I always wear mine on flights for great comfort. The only thing I don't like is that the logo is prominent.

Might want to look for a ladies golf shirt in a sporting goods store, golf club pro shop (don't have to be a member to go into or purchase from most club pro shops) or specialty golf shop, or online of course. They are generally very comfy, launder and travel well, and can have SPF protection as well. I love the long sleeve San Soleil or Ibkul brand tops; the LS ones are meant to wear in warm/hot weather. This kind of top is the only one I will be taking on our RS Scandinavian trip this June.
