Is linen pants alright for traveling to the mountains in Turkey?

I like wearing linen pants (this is what I am gonna wear) because they are very comfortable, but I am not sure if they also work well when hiking in the mountains? Has anybody ever done that before with linen pants?

Rather depends on what the weather will be like when you do it.
Personally, I wouldn't fancy walking in wet linen.
