Do any of you ladies have the Garnet Hill travel pants? I'm tempted to buy them--they look very comfy and soft.
I plan to wear leggings under a couple of loose dresses and I'm wondering if these pants could also do the same.
I do not have them. But I will say that I got some Costco 'travel pants' last year and they are the best pants ever. If they bring them back I recommend them, as I like them better than my Athleta, Lululemon, Tommy Bahama and Nordstrom pants.
Columbia also makes a great travel pants. I have them in 3 colors.
Pat, I have a funny question. When I think of Columbia, I think of nylon jackets (I have a really nice one I got in London). They make a swishing noise when I move my arms. Do the pants swish too?
I looked at their website and found a couple of pairs that would work.
RE: swishing sound, it really depends on the pants and the style. I have some Costco/Kirkland brand travel pants that are moderately noisy, a pair of REI pants that make no noise, and a pair of Royal Robbins that sound like a freight train when I walk. Unfortunately buying on line is hard to know unless reviews specifically mention the sound.
OMG....Sandra! Gosh, you and CL made me laugh out loud!
Remember George Costanza and his swooshy pants?
Swooshy pants starts at about 5:01:

For the record I hate swooshy fabric - pants, shirts, jacket...just no!
Oh, I totally forgot about George's swishy pants! I love that episode, especially the Poppy part.
I also forgot about George's swishy pants! SandraL I hope you find some quiet pants that suit your needs. You might investigate the Garnet Hill return policy before buying just in case it's burdensome, sometimes it is more trouble than it's worth to send something back.
If you get the Garnets let us know how they work.
I usually wear a pair of looser black yoga pants-comfy for plane. On our next trip shoulder season, to Greece, I am taking 1 pair of locally made linen pants with pockets and wearing Rei hiking pants on plane. Plus 1 travel dress and 5 tops.
I found it quite interesting that the name is Garnet Hill. Garnethill is a neighbourhood in Glasgow, where Glasgow School of Art is. I checked the company website and their clothing is inspired by Garnet Hill, New Hampshire and a trip to Europe.

The area was named Garnet Hill by William Harley, in honour of Professor Thomas Garnett, one of the first professors of Anderson's Institution, known today as Strathclyde University (Glasgow, from Wikipedia)

Garnet Hill is associated with Franconia, New Hampshire. They may have mined garnets there?
