FYI - Vanquest Addax 18 Day Pack

I was “window shopping” online today. (I should really walk my dog instead!). I saw this pack. It looks like a very good day pack. Nice features, good materials, good dimensions. It is made in both Taiwan and Vietnam with many USA made components. Cost is a bit steep. About $145.00 US dollars.

Vanquest.com. I don’t have any connection to this company other than as a prospective customer.

SBIF, given the tactical nature of the company, they seem like they might be a bit heavy for the intended purpose. What do you think? Its always a tradeoff between durability and weight, isn't it?

Hi Stan!
I like the generic “blend-in” look of them. More urban, but can still be used on a trail. I like the arrangement of the pockets. I looked at some YouTube videos after I posted here. The inside fabric in the main compartment was interesting. Pouches with Velcro backing can just be stuck against the fabric according to preference. Not sure I want to pay extra for a specialized fabric that doesn’t interest me. In other words, over-built with a higher cost for how I will use it.

You tube videos - people were attaching military style pouches and guns to the fabric. I liked the bag simply for style and size and pocket arrangement. I will keep mountainsmith divide or similar in mind. I need a bag with a torso length of 16.5 -17” to be comfortable.
