Fan for keeping cool at night

Could people recommend a desk fan you have used that works well for hot weather but is very small and easy to pack, and quiet.
I don’t know if battery powered or plug in is best?
Thanks!

I have had numerous small fans over the years.

I currently use this fan from Muji

Don't let the size fool you. It's very powerful. If you put in on the night stand next to the bed, it will cool you off enough to get some sleep. It's battery operated and recharged via USB. It can also be used while plugged in.

I actually bought mine at a Muji store in Berlin.

I have the one that Frank has. I like it because you can hold it in your hand straight up, but it also bends, so you can lay it flat on a table or desk or bedside table and angle the fan at the right spot to reach you.

But both those others look good !

One of my old companies got a bunch of small fans, with the company logo prominent, as conference marketing giveaways. They were great! Powered by USB; you could plug them into your laptop and clip them onto the screen. I wish I'd held onto the one I filched from the marketing department closet ...

I’ve tried to order the Muji handheld fan that Frank listed, but either not available or not available for me in the US. I like how small it is and can be handheld or folded on a nightstand. Does anyone have an alternative they like similar to this? Thanks!

The fan that Cerastez mentions above is on sale today for Amazon prime for about $13. I actually decided to buy it more for white noise and Amazon delivered it a few hours later

It’s pretty quiet, so I’m not sure how it’s going to work as a White Noise source but it does seem to put out a good amount of air and it also has a flashlight feature, which is nice. Just thought I’d mention it in case people were still looking.

We have both of the ones recommended by Katheryne and Cerastez.
The one that Katheryne mentions is also on sale on Amazon today and I might order another one since I cannot travel without it!
It's great for white noise and air.

The pink one is better for use out and about IMHO.

I’ve used this fan at home when power is out. It’s small but powerful with 3 speeds. It runs only on a charge; no batteries or power cord. It’s adjustable as well. I’ve taken it to Europe once, but didn’t need to use it. It will run all night on at least the lowest speed (I tested it during an outage with Hurricane Milton). Just enough white noise for me.
