Eddie Bauer fleece-lined pants at Costco

We were talking about fleece-lined pants a bit on Sandancisco's thread about pants, aka trousers, but I didn't want to make that one too long, so I figured I'd start this over here.

I was at Costco today (big surprise) and found that they had some Eddie Bauer fleece-lined joggers there. They were $21.99 and come in 3 different colors—khaki green (which I bought), black and navy blue. They're joggers, but the cuff around the ankle is not elastic, it's more of a regular straight cuff, which I like much better. I think it looks nicer, and it looks a bit dressier.

So I bought a pair in a lower size than I usually wear (I held them up against me and the 16's seemed too big). At any rate, the size 14 pants fit me, so yay! And I really, really like these pants! They look good, especially with the straight cuff and they feel good. They're very comfortable, and they're cozy warm. It was a good day for buying them, too, because our temps dropped drastically today.

I could definitely see these being an asset when I go to the Christmas markets in December. I have some fleece leggings, but these are a lot warmer, and I really like them. I just thought I would give you all a heads up in case you're at Costco and want to check them out. Here's a photo of them online. Interestingly, they're only $2 more online. https://www.costco.com/p/-/eddie-bauer-womens-rainier-fleece-lined-jogger/4000447245

Oh, I forgot, they also have UPF 50 sun protection, are made of water-repellant fabric and have side zippered pockets. And the GSP is only 175, which makes them pretty lightweight.

I was at Costco today also and picked up a pair of Navy & Black.

Planning on taking them to Maine next week.

We also go to the Xmas Markets in Germany & Austria every other year and they would be great for that.

Oh, that's good to know, ChinaLake! Because I'm planning on taking mine, and I'm hoping they keep my legs warm! I was thinking I wouldn't need them, but I'd rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them. 😊

Those will be great to have for your upcoming trip. You will appreciate both the warmth and the fact that they repel water. I have a different pair of EB fleece lined pants and I love them for walking the dogs in the winter. I also would have appreciated them at the Christmas markets in late November a few years ago. Trust me, you will be glad to have something that keeps you warm and dry. We got lots of rain so it was pretty damp and chilly, as well as windy at times. I lived in my merino wool tops, with tights or long johns under my pants and was very grateful for my hat, gloves and scarf, even though I live in the north and am used to the cold (you will be no slouch either, being from Minnesota, but that is a drier cold, as you well know). Have a wonderful trip!

They sound very similar to the Eddie Bauer lined pants I wore on our 2023 Christmas Market trip. We had snow (from a dusting to six inches!) every day for two weeks, and I had zero complaints about staying warm. They have held up very well. At the last minute I packed them when we went to Sicily this past March. Was I ever happy to have them on the day of our Mt. Etna "easy" hike when the wind was howling and, yes, snow was blowing! Great find.

Now I'm thinking I should buy a second pair in another color. Thanks for all the affirmations! That is really good to know.

I'm also thinking it might be good for days that I sub. One of the schools I teach at a lot has a program called Environmental Education where the kids spend time outdoors learning about nature. Those days can get really cold for a teacher while you're standing around keeping an eye on all the kids. My legs always get cold then.

I agree, Jean, and they're only $2 more online than they are in the store. That's unusual, so I would grab some.

They also have that special where if you order anywhere from 3 to 10 different articles of clothing, you get anywhere from $10 to $50 off.
