In recent years, budget airline flying has changed my way of packing. Still waiting for RedOxx and Rick Steves to make my “ideal” underseat bag.

Based on recommendations in the Travel Forums, I purchased several pieces of Eagle Creek luggage in 2011 for a 6-week family trip to Europe. They are in great shape after 12 years of use, and we still use them. They live up to their expectations for quality.
As my adult children have moved away from home, they all took "their" Eagle Creek suitcase with them.
