Eagle Creek Sale

Eagle Creek is currently running a 25% off sale on almost everything--bags, packing organizers, etc. This doesn't happen often.

Anyone interested? (The rules are that posts have to contain a question. :) )

I'm always interested in an Eagle Creek sale, but my Uncle Visa isn't sure if I should thank you or not. 😉

It's probably a good thing I'm too close to departure for my next trip that the pretty things there probably wouldn't reach my house before I left because I am tempted even though I really don't need more luggage and gear right now.

Is sale also in stores or just online? I like to see luggage in person.

REI has some of it.

Anyone have any pieces they recommend? We don't need any either, but . . .

All of our luggage is Eagle creek. Great brand. Even our dog panniers. (Someone has to carry the dog food)

Eagle Creek's Specter Tech packing cubes are, hands-down, the best brand and type available to buy. I have several sets of the compression Specter Tech line and they are incredible. I'm currently on a 5-weeks trip in Europe and could not live without the medium-size compression cubes. I use them for everything other than scarves, for those I use one of the Specter Tech tube cubes.

I own way too many packing cubes, Eagle Creek's are by far the best due to their ultra lightweight fabric and great zippers. Be sure to get the Specter Tech, not just the Specter. The Techs have zips on 3 sides, the regular Specter line doesn't have the big opening. The 25% off deal is a good one, usually they're only offered at 20% off when on sale.

It’s not just Eagle Creek. There’s a lot of Memorial Day sales going on. Check eBags, Patagonia, etc.

I personally prefer the regular specter bags. The regular medium bag is 1 oz, the tech bag is 1.8 oz. Thats extra weight, and all for a zipper.

Which cube really depends on how you pack. I personally prefer to go lighter. I can still easily get into the regular bag.

I bought a set of the specter tech compression packing cubes. I saved around $10.00 which is always nice.

Dang, I am always coveting Eagle Creek stuff but never buying any . . . I could order during the sale and have sent to my parents’ — and then have a fun surprise awaiting me the next time I go home!
