What do you recommend for keeping electronics and valuables totally dry?
I'm not going to be doing any extreme sports, but I am sometimes a klutz.
Stuff have leaked in my bag or I've dropped stuff in puddles.
So what container have you found to be successful?

Many options for REI waterproof electronics cases. However, the cheap solution is a Ziplock slide lock type plastic bag.

Depending on the situation, a Ziplok bag with a double seal should suffice. If you want to take electronics while swimming or whatever, something more robust would be prudent. Perhaps one of these items would work - https://www.amazon.com/LOKSAK-SplashSak-Waist-Pack/dp/B000BQU3JQ
If its just to keep it dry from a spill or an "oops", then a ziplock should do the job
Suggest the freezer bag version as they are a bit more heavy duty

Paddlers who regularly canoe white water usually go by the following:
For inexpensive protection against small spills and small splash damage use two zip lock freezer bags.
For a little more money but a lot more protection google "locsak".
For heavy duty protection google "aquapac".
