Does Civita Shoulder Bag hold an iPad Mini?

My usual day bag is getting frayed and I expect to have to get something new shortly.

Does the RS Civita Shoulder Bag size hold an iPad mini? Will it fit in the secondary pocket?

I try to go minimalist while I'm out and about, and the civita shoulder bag looks on the web site here
to be about as far as I'll consider going in the touristy direction. I don't want or need the civita day pack.
The shoulder bag already seems a little bit touristy to me, considering that my frayed bag is a simple natural cotton
pouch that I usually have no problem carrying in even to places that insist on using the vestiare for day bags.
The cotton pouch holds a magazine, map, guidebook, bottle, cap, and I can thread a sweater or jacket through the handle,
or stuff in a towel for beach outings. That's enough for the day, and I see that the civita shoulder is smaller than the day pack
so I'm guessing it will also be about the same capacity-wise.

I often wear a shirt with chest pocket and/or a sport jacket to hold pricier flat items, like an iPod. Maybe the civita shoulder bag would give me the option of going even more casual if I could keep everything in it...

Given the measurements on the site it certainly should.

I use a Patagonia Mini-mass messenger bag and it fits my iPad mini, water bottle, lunch/snacks and packable raincoat or fleece just fine, and it is much less "touristy" in my opinion then the Civita shoulder bag, but more expensive.

Yes, an iPad mini wil fit easily, these are great bags for the price. I've hauled mine on multiple trips and it has never let me down!

Thanks for the replies -- that Patagonia bag looks like what I use for commuting to work lately, a retro Sierra Club green cotton canvas shoulder bag with a laptop divider inside. I like these kinds of bags, but they aren't mashable enough into my carry-on.

The RS Civita shoulder bag is described as mashing down very small. My frayed bag that I want to replace mashed down small enough to fit in my coat pocket, maybe even a pants pocket. About the same as a pair of light cotton socks, actually. Comparable to the reusable grocery bags you see often, but with better handles. Maybe that's an unrealistic comparison for bags that have zippers and seams!

Yes, the ipad mini fits easily into the Civita Shoulder bag. Plus, you could also carry other items that you need throughout the day instead of placing them in a pocket. I also carry my phone, a guidebook, a water bottle, maps, hotel key, change purse. I like to put the mini into the main compartment because I find that more secure.

Yes, but it will not provide any protection.
