I thought I remembered a post from a member looking into 21” bags. I just saw that Costco Next has a sale on and featured the international 21” rolling duffel bag as a “hot sale”. $309 down from $349. Just passing it on!
Sale good 5/29- 6/1.
Good resource as Next has a number of luggage brands, to include B+R
What is Costco Next?
It’s a way for a variety of retail suppliers to have current Costco customers go to their site and purchase their products at a reduced rate. Usually the best deals last only a few days.
And just FYI, if you do not have a Costco membership you can't actually look at the deals. (will save some of us some $$ lol)
Thank you. I like your login name --> we must love dogs!
For intra-Euro travel, make sure you measure your carry-on in cm to double check that the dimensions are accurate. I bought an Eagle Creek international carry-on years ago but the actual dimensions don't conform to what's stated. So, Easyjet forced me to check it in at the gate and charged an arm and a leg for it.
That is still about 10x more than I am prepared to pay for a bag. Wow, what do you get for $300?
Frank, yes, it’s way above what I would spend, but everyone has their own comfort level with luggage prices.
I first learned about this company from earlier posts by forum members so thought there may be an interest in the sale.
Just for informational purposes and for those who have to meet a weight limit on their airline...this duffel weighs 7.4#/3.4kg.

Reliability. Ever have a piece of luggage take a dump during a trip?
In all seriousness, Briggs & Riley has the best warranty in the travel industry, they are so confident in their products, they will fix/repair/replace your bag even if an airplane rolls over it or, an elephant steps on it. Material and construction is top-notch. Other than normal wear and character marks, my B+R roller is still going strong after 14+ years. I'm not saying EVERYONE needs one but, having a quality, well-made travel bag is a nice have and it's much more approachable than say a Rimowa or, a Louis Vuitton.
It's my understanding that B&R bags are relatively heavy, so would not be a good choice for airlines with a weight limit.
@cala. The added weight is one of the specs that helps them hold up, thus best-in-class warranty. We have B&R ZDX 21” spinner bags (actual 7.2lbs), love them. If you pack carefully, you can work around weight limits. Flew Lufthansa recently, they have one of the most stringent carry-on allowances at 8kg and we each packed for 18 days and were right at the limit. Expensive yes, but I find they are good value.
