Just a heads up for Portland Metro Area folks. It's a good time to shop at Costco for travel clothes. I found a ladies Columbia ultra-wicking, uv protection button down for less than $25. They had some good deals in Sketchers and Bobs shoes with memory foam, too. But you know Costco, they will be gone in a heart beat!
Our Costco in Birmingham has Foxcroft no-iron shirts for women in spring-summer colors, three-quarter sleeves. The fit is true to size, maybe a little generous. Great buy! I bought the pale blue!
I bought the Columbia shirt in blue. The online site also has a $20 rain jacket (32°, looks very similar to ones we bought at Costco several years ago and pack for every trip.)
My husband and I bought the 32° rain jackets last year for our trip to Italy. Love them! They are going to Croatia this year. Thinking about buying another and putting it away.
We do not need any travel clothing, but I just learned our Costco has halibut cheeks so we will be heading there tomorrow!
This reminds me of a time we were waiting for our tour guides for the Vatican Museums to show up at the pre-arranged location. My parents were with me and they strike up a conversation with another women. Less than five minutes later, two other couples join in and it's all about the gems they found at Costco for the trip they were on.
Lately, Costco has had ExOfficio in their stores. They recently had for men their boxer-brief underwear 3-pack for $25. Just one of those underwear goes for $25/each so, very good deal. Online, they have ExOfficio's soft-shell camper-style shirt for women
For men, the UB Tech Pant came out last year and now I see them in all the stores. My dad had to validate his purchase by pointing out the other guy he saw wearing the same pants. :-)
Update -- the 32° Cool t-shirts are now on sale at 2-pack for $7.99.
Now I have to go back to Costco to look at the rain jackets! I don't really NEED travel clothes, but when Costco has travel clothes they are a really great deal. I missed the ExOfficio shirts, so I have been keeping watch on what is coming in for the summer.
Thanks for all the tips!
