Was browsing my local higher end vintage shop and came across a tan "canvas material" carry on bag, appears well made, sturdy zippers, good bumpers, wheels are solid/ roll well, clean inside, no odors, my limited research leads me to believe it may have been manufactured in the Philippines. Is anyone familiar with this brand? They will hold the bag for a few days for me, a regular customer. Thank you in advance.
Reminds me of a television show I saw recently. One of those real life customs inspections shows. This one from Australia. The ladies bag failed the drug smell test machine. They dumped it out, no drugs, no visiual signs of drugs. They swabbed it down and tested the swabs and drug residue everywhere.
She had borrowed the bag from her mother. MOM!!!! Since no actual drugs she was free to go.
Yes, what Mr. E said! I love vintage too, but watching these border control shows, I will never again buy a used purse or suitcase.
Thank you everyone, never even thought of potential issue " what may have been transported "
The look on the daughters face was priceless. Mom was running drugs LOL
OP I think you get what MrE and Linda are saying. The history of used bags is an unknown I will not risk and I also won't loan out bags to others -- friends or family.
