Condor & Luggage

Not sure whether to put this here or in Transportation but... We are flying Condor (US to Germany) and I've just realized my carry-on luggage is one-inch over Condor's published limits. Anyone have experience with how strict they are & can speak to this? Also, do I understand that in Business class you can have a carry-on and a backpack and neither can way over 22 pounds but together they can't exceed 35 pounds? I appreciate any help! Really don't want to have to buy new luggage. :( Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I did a search for "Condor" before posting but somehow missed that. I will read!

We flew Condor business class in 2023. My 38 liter backpack carry on met Condor's limits. My personal item also met Condor's limits. No one in the US or at Frankfurt glanced at the bags although I did notice that some in economy and premium economy had their bags sized and if at the check in counter, weighed. However, on our return flight from Milan to FRA on Lufthansa my backpack was given a hard look by the gate staff. My then oversized personal item (it expanded), was not even glanced at. At Frankfurt neither bag were examined by Condor. My guess - and it is a guess - is that if you are flying business class no one at Condor will question a bag that is 1" too big.

Worrying about 1” does seem silly now that you but it that way. lol. I just have these visions of a cranky staffer making me put it in a measuring bin (which has happened) & coming up short. I guess really it comes down to if I feel lucky & don’t have issue with any extra time or money spent if I’m forced to check. Really appreciate hearing the experiences though. Thanks!
