Compass Rose...FYI. Something else to buy!

For anyone interested, Compass Rose has her bra stashes back in her shop. I just received mine in the mail. It is very well made and it will fit even the largest bra in the front, IMO. Attached to strap and tucked under the side of the bra...I can't even feel it sans cards. I'll try with later. I am not one who keeps my passport in a money belt so this, if I ever use it, will work great for me. Airport to hotel on public transportation is likely the only time I'll use it, but it is great.

I don't often use a money belt, and dislike them. Only this forum makes me think twice. As the leg wallet doesn't work with my wardrobe anymore, this will work well. Again, it's only for cards, which I like.

I’m one of those who never wear a money belt and have never had a problem with that. In fact the only time I did have a problem was on my first overseas trip and my money belt fell off. I lost my passport, cards, money and travelers checks. Eventually it was found and returned but I decided then that I would rather go with a secure crossbody bag.

That’s not to say you shouldn’t do what you feel is right, but just something to think about. 😊

Mardee, I'm sure that was quite a story!

I am with you, Mardee. This will likely stay in the zipped portion of my bag or later in my suitcase. It will be part of my divide and protect system; not everything in the same place. However, it is nice and small so if I become nervous, it will be something that will work for me to use as a 'money belt'.

I am just bringing his up because Travel Fashion Girl/Compass Rose can go years before reproducing her items.

Wray! Thanks for noticing this. I've got her packing cubes which I like a lot but they are heavier then the Eagle Creek ones so I've not used them as much. I've looked at the bra stash wallet for years so appreciate knowing it is back. You are right that you have to grab them when they are available as the supply is iffy. Thinking......

Pat, it was, lol! It was the day before I was supposed to leave London (my first trip overseas in 1996). It fell off while I was walking but I didn't notice because I had my raincoat on. After I discovered its loss, I spent half the day getting money from the American Express office, then a new passport. I was determined to enjoy my last night, though, so I had a good dinner with a half carafe of wine, went on a London pub walk and had a few pints there, and finally made my way to the Ceremony of the Keys, nicely toasted!

Luckily a student found the money belt on the sidewalk, turned it into the police (including the cash–about £50) and they sent it back to me in the states. I was so appreciative that I packed up the money and sent it back to the student who found it. All in all, everything turned out well! 😊

Mardee, Was that the waist belt? I have always thought that type would be so easy to loose, particularly in a bathroom stall…

Wray, yes it was. Never again, although frankly, it wasn't this incident that stopped me from wearing them. I just don't like encumbrances like that, and I hate wearing stuff around my neck, lol!
