We're traveling to Sweden to pick up a Volvo (trip over and back included in purchase of car!) and will travel through Norway then south to Germany for a bike-barge trip. Not sure what typical weather is late September early October and would appreciate feedback on clothing to pack. Thanks!
Rain gear and versatile layers are almost always the answer, not something heavier. A light scarf can be dressy as well as practical to keep the breeze of your neck. A hat or hood can reduce heat loss without piling on other layers. In Stockholm in October, Rick's book suggests average temp ranges from low to high 40s, not freezing overnight.
