We are looking for a dual purpose bag that could be considered a handbag on Ryanair. Their allowed measurements are 35mmx20mmx20mm which translate to about 13.5x8x8. Does anybody have any suggestions? I think we have the cabin bag covered. Thanks.
I use one of two things, depending on the details of my trip. One is a Vera Bradley backpack that is pretty small but holds my iPad, a sandwich, a few other snacks and my neck pouch with all my important documents for during the flight. The other one is a smallish backpack I got at REI, which I use when I want to haul a bit more stuff on board with me.
I've taken four Ryan Air flights in the last few months -- 2 with a broken shoulder -- and have learned alot. The planes are different -- so my carry-on for Bratislava to Madrid did NOT fit in the Kerry, Ireland to Stansted London plane!!
So be careful!
That said, booking in advance the Kerry to London Luton checked bag is only 14.99 so even with paying for the bag the round trip was only 50 euros!
Thanks for your replies. I was looking for a roomy handbag with a shoulder strap.
