CalPak Duffle

I love mine! It's a good size--not too heavy to throw the back out, but holds what I need for a carry-on. Lots of pockets, but not so many that you are doing the "must check every pocket to find something." A "shoe (or whatever you want to put in there) compartment" is always a plus for me. While they do not provide washing info, I can attest to it being machine washable. I run it on gentle, then hang outside to air dry.
I fly most often on small planes domestically, and it can fit under the seat. On intl flights, it fits fine, though I have been lucky to fly premium in recent years (in economy it would be more comfortable in the overhead since they are cramming us in like sardines).

I see 8 bags in the 'duffel' category.

The duffel is the duffel--all others have descriptors like "mini duffel," large duffel," "laptop duffel," etc. The plain ol' duffel is the one you want for maximum versatility.

I don't have the Duffle, but I do like CalPak bags. They are well made and attractive and the ones I've bought have served me well.
