Best backpack for new Easy Jet guidelines?

Hi all. I'm taking a fifty day trip through Europe and Israel next month and need a backpack that will without a doubt fit Easy Jet's standards. Bags cannot exceed 50 x 40 x 20cm. Any suggestions outside of the Rick Steve's line? I'm currently in South Korea and don't want to pay the shipping for RS.

If you can, i would check some of the local luggage/travel/outdoors stores in your area.

you already know what size restriction you have to deal with so thats half the battle.

happy trails.

"don't want to pay the shipping for RS."

How do you know that anything else we suggest won't also have high shipping?

BTW, 50x40x20, or 19¾"x15¾"x8-7/8", is the guaranteed bag size, where they say you absolutely can carry it onboard. 56x45x25, or 22"x17.7"x9.8" is the maximum carryon size, but might be gate checked.

My suggestion is to look at the Campmor Essential Carryon bag.

Thank you for the clarification my bag sizes. I'm hoping for relatively well-known brand names that would likely be available locally. I can't go to my local Homeplus and buy a Rick Steve's bag.

ianspb,

i can only speak for what i use and its an Ospray. Since you're in SK, i have no idea whats offered or if there are any retailers/outlets. you can check out Osprays web site and see if they have any distributors/outlets/retailers in SK.

just a comment. If you're using EJ as just a puddle jumper and are not using them for multiple leg journeys, i would just use what you have at hand and check it in if its too large. Its hard to loose the luggage on one flight. Of course if you want the luggage with you then you will have to deal with the size restrictions.

one other comment, they won't be "measuring' you case, but will have you put it in one of those boxes. As long as it will fit, you should be good to go. At least thats been my experience with EJ. Sometimes all it takes is some rearranging to make it fit.

happy trails.
