Bag Addict Alert!

FYI - eagle creek is having a significant holiday sale! So is Rick Steve!

Thanksgiving is a great time to buy luggage!

My name is Pam and I am a bag addict. Yes, I clicked, hahahaha!! I am keeping myself away from ebags and Eagle Creek. I'm on their mailing lists and am getting "deals" every day. I've got about everything Rick has so no problem there.

I did get the ebags Pack-it flat toiletry kit this summer after someone mentioned it here and liked it a lot.

Just say no....!!!

I hope this doesn't add to your addiction problem, but Tom Bihn will be having a debut of some new bags on 12/2.

Pam,
"Just say no."
Unfortunately, online shopping doesn't involve language. Perhaps - "just don't click."
Then, there's "just do it." Thanks, Nike. I am sooo conflicted!

Walked into our downstairs room which contains ~7 extra bags (the ones for next week's trip are already upstairs) and told myself "I do NOT need another suitcase!" But then, I have told myself that about black pants ....
Be strong, fellow addicts!

I have to remind myself that the more bags I buy, the less money I have for trips to use the bags on.

Even if Tom Bihn is coming out with new things shortly and Red Oxx has been doing a bunch of limited edition colors for 2019. (Red Oxx did get me for a Chica bag in Teal a few months back)

Time: last night.

Scene: various TSA, bathroom and boarding lines.

Me: oh, that’s a nice bag. Oh, I like that color. Ooh, that looks heavy but that one seems light. Huh, is it weird to ask that woman coming out of the bathroom how many liters that bag holds?

Oh my gosh! It's too bad we couldn't all go bag shopping together. What fun we'd have. Yes, I am a bag addict...and I can't stay off of the Eagle Creek site...and now Rick has a spinner. I don't have one of those...

I admit to being a bag addict as well.

Recently bought an 'under the seat' wheeled rolling bag. It's expandable so if you unzip the top it pops up to 'normal' carry on size (about 21x9x14). I 'think' it should fit under the seat (and that is how it is advertised) but was wondering if anyone had used one. My problem is usually more getting under the weight limit than the size and this bag is a bit lighter than my "ultra light" carry on wheeled bag.

Yes, it would be helpful to know what brand/model the underseat bag is. I've looked at some at TJ Maxx and yes, they would fit under the Delta seats on an International flight.

The under seat bag I have is a "Lucas" and it is 14.5 x 8.5 x 15

I'm so guilty of bag addiction that when I make my annual winter trip to NYC I make sure to take a jaunt down to the Lower East Side and visit Altman Luggage. It's not a large shop, but boy do they have the goods. They're also good for pens and they sell online, meeting any competitor's pricing. I'm pretty sure they're not open on Saturdays. I tried to check but hubs is watching tv and using up all our rural bandwidth...

Oh Dianne! You did have to inform me of the Lower East Side luggage store! I don't go to NYC much - but, I do love it like a playground. I wonder if it is near economy candy or Clinton Bakery? Lower East Side is a relatively new area of NYC for my family to explore. Lots of restaurants and bars.
