Hey, I resemble that remark, lol!!!

Laurie Beth, that is very cute! It's definitely nice for when you want a dressier look! It's a little pricey for me, but I will keep it in mind in case it goes on sale. :-)

Oooh. I love the stuff at that site. Unfortunately, I am not buying American these days, but I've bookmarked it for if/when things change. Thanks for sharing.

I think the blue would be best for the 'casual elegance' I'm seeking.

This would look so dopey on me.

I wish I were taller and could pull it off !

Very attractive, but my current requirement for any new tops or jackets is inside pockets. Thee are so essential for travel, IMHO.

Interesting logistical challenge for the designers.

The upper pocket area is , ....umm, already occupied and putting a pocket at waist level could have some women unhappy with the visual it creates at that location of bulk around the middle.

That may be why purses became popular.

I'm short, and I would wear that vest. I much prefer tops and jackets that fall to the hips or below. I can't stand short things that expose the waist when I raise my arms.

And, Joe, I think the vast majority of women are not so vain that they wouldn't want more pockets. There are all kinds of memes about women's clothes not having pockets and women wanting more pockets. Also, the idea of women's shapes, or desired shapes, being the reason for no pockets does absolutely nothing to explain why little boys' clothes (even baby boys' clothes) have pockets far more frequently than little girls' clothes do.

Ooh.....I LOVE this vest! I have a long black puffer vest with a hood and it's practically perfect, but it has a hood -- which is handy on a cold, windy or rainy/snowy day -- which definitely makes it more casual and sporty looking.
Since I often wear slightly longer or oversized tops, a long vest like this looks more sleek and balanced, as opposed to have a shorter length with my shirt tails hanging out.

Pat, I agree. Inside pockets have become very important to me when I travel.
