Planning 4 nights in Tromso; main goal watching Northern Lights (then the Coastal Express to Bergen).
Question: should I get lodging downtown or is a rental outside the city still accessible? (Snow plowing). Will have a rental car.
Planning on renting at Hertz as can pick up from the airport and drop off at the ferry terminal downtown.
Of course, I will go downtown for dinner and museums.
Also, what do I do from checkout at noon to midnight last day when the ferry leaves?. (Without spending $$ for another night))
