Do I need to get sime Norwegian currency for a one day cruise excursion?
Norway uses their own currency; not the Euro, as they are not a member of the EU.
Keep in mind that you can always use your credit card or Apple/Google Pay. Norway is very much a cashless society, so you will have no problem doing tap and pay with your phone or card while you are there.

This are two different questions. I don't know whether they take euros (not sure why they would), but the last time I was in Norway (probably 10-15 days in 2018), I never got any local currency because I was able to use a credit card everywhere I went.
No, maybe only at very very touristy sites but I have not seen that. Currency is NOK and you can pay nearly 100% by credit card. Was doing multiple car round trips, also up to North Cape.
As everyone has been telling you, it's a cashless society. Mastercards fly; Google Pay flies; Apple Pay flies.
If you want to tip, we found that Norwegian restaurant tallies do allow spaces for that, and perhaps your one-day cruise excursion does too. The same goes for Sweden.
We had a problem tipping in Copenhagen, and it just so happens Copenhagen is a place where servers told us they can use Euros if we didn't have local currency--they are often out and about to Germany.
